All the glory goes to Lazer Star Lights / Can Am 4x4 teams at GNCC Round #5

3 of Lazer Star / Ca-Am 4x4 factory teams take the podium last weekend at GNCC Round #5 at Mammoth, Park City, KY

Amsoil GNCC Racing - Grand National Cross Country Racing Series

Park City, KY - Weather conditions weren't ideal in South Central Kentucky as mud and rain plagued the land on Saturday at Round 5 of the 2013 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series in Park City, Ky. Lazer Star Lights would like to recognize 3 of our Factory Can-Am teams and their podium wins last weekend. Bryan Buckhannon took the 1st place win and dominates the 4x4 Open class, 5 - 0 coming out of race 5. Up next in the 4x4 Lites we saw Kevin Trantham come in 1st in class yet again with a 4 - 5 out of Kentucky, last but certainly not least is the 4x4 Senior division with Forrest Wharton taking 2nd in class to maintain his 1st overall standing, not a bad wrap up coming out of wet and muddy Mammoth for round #5!

Great Job! Goes out to all the athletes that braved the harsh conditions and finished the race last weekend. Looking forward to a hopefully dryer and warmer Round #6 out at the Dunlop Limestone 100 in Springville, May 18 - 19, 2013.

Can-Am ATV Racers Earn 3 Wins & 9 Podiums at Muddy Creek Can-Am's Travis Moore Wins Pro & Pro-Am NEATV-MX Opening Round

Valcourt, Qubec (4/17/2013) - Can-Am ATV racers earned two overall class victories and nine podium finishesat round two of the 2013 Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship series, sanctioned by the AMA,held at Muddy Creek in Blountville, Tenn. BCS Performance / Can-Am Pro Josh Creamer finished fourth in the Pro class. At the New England ATV Motocross (NEATV-MX) series opener in Wallkill, N.Y., Can-Am DS 450 racer Travis Moore won both the Pro and Pro-Am classes. Overall, it was good weekend for Can-Am ATV racers at Muddy Creek in Tennessee. Although Josh Creamer just missed the Pro class podium, we had three riders in the top 10 in both the Pro and Pro-Am classes. We also had three amateur racers win their respective classes on the DS 450,said Jimmie ODell, Race Manager, Can-Am. I am proud of the way Travis Moore raced in his Can-Am DS 450 debut in the NEATV series. Its never easy to win two Pro-level classes and he did just that.
Mtn. Dew AMA ATV MX - Round 2 - Muddy Creek - April 13-14, 2013

Josh Creamer - Can-Am DS450 ATV
Josh Creamer (BCS Performance / Can-Am) went 6-3 in the Pro class motos to earn fourth overall at round two of the Mtn. Dew AMA ATV MX Championship series held at Muddy Creek
Creamer (BCS Performance / Can-Am) finished sixth in the first Pro class moto due to a rough start that forced him to play catch up the entire moto. However, the former ATV MX Pro Champion stayed patient and found his way around seven riders on his way to earning sixth. Moto two started much better for the DS 450 Pro, as he tucked into the third-place position early on. Creamer was unable to find a way around the two other racers and had to settle for third. His 6-3 moto scores were good for fourth overall in Tennessee, and also put him in fourth in the class point standings, just 11 points behind the class leader. I had a rocky start in moto one. It took me a bit to calm down and make passes. My BCS Performance-powered Can-Am DS 450 worked amazingly well, said Creamer. My tires and motor were flawless, the only thing that needed work was me. My team and sponsors are working well and I want that win!
Travis Spader - Can-Am DS450 ATV
Former GNC ATV champion Travis Spader won the 30+ & 40+ & finished second in the Junior 25+ aboard his Can-Am DS 450 ATV at Muddy Creek
Two other Can-Am DS 450 Pros made the top 10 at Muddy Creek. Jeffrey Rastrelli (JB Racing / Cheerwine / Can-Am) finished in the eighth spot with his 8-9 moto finishes. Can-Am racer Ronnie Higgerson, who was second in the Pro-Am class, took 10thin the Pro ranks. In Amateur class action, Can-Am racers won three class overalls and earned 8 total podiums. Former GNC ATV Pro champion Travis Spader won the 30+ and 40+ classes and took second in Junior 25+. BCS Performance / Can-Am pilot Nicholas Gennusa won the Open A class, and was joined on the podium by fellow Can-Am racer Brad Mickley, who was third. Andy Magyan finished second in the 4-Stroke A class and third in the College 16-24 class.
NEATV-MX Racing - Round 1 - Walden MX - April 13-14, 2013

Travis Moore - Can-Am DS450 ATV
Making his Can-Am DS 450 ATV debut, Travis Moore (BCS Performance / Wide Open Racing)won the Pro and Pro-Am class at the NEATV-MX series opener in Wallkill, N.Y.
The NEATV-MX series opened at Walden Playboy MX track. Can-Am DS 450 racers had a very successful weekend in New York, tallying 15 podiums and five class victories, including both the Pro and Pro-Am classes. Travis Moore (BCS Performance / Wide Open Racing), making his Can-Am debut, shined brightest as he won both the Pro and Pro-Am classes with 2-1 moto scores. Mathieu Deroy, Quebec, Canada, also competed in both the classes. He won the first moto in both classes, but finished second behind Moore in each class. Half of the top 10 finishers in the Pro-Am class competed with Can-Am DS 450 ATVs.
Mathieu Deroy - Can-Am DS450 ATV
Mathieu Deroy won two motos and earned second overall in both the Pro and Pro-Am classes at the NEATV-MX series opener in New York
This is our first year on the Can-Am DS 450 ATV, as well as being a new team together. We had some issues in the first moto of each class, but the Can-Am was easy to dial in and we got right back after it in the second motos and brought home the 1-1 in each class for the wins. I couldnt be happier with how the opening weekend turned out for us, said Moore. Jake Chamberland (College Boy, 4-Stroke A) and Tyler Turner (Open A) also posted class victories aboard the Can-Am DS 450 at round one. Lazer Star Lights / Can Am's Josh Creamer takes 4th at Round 2 AMA ATV, Muddy Creek

Lazer Star Lights' BCS / Can-Am's Josh Creamer Fourth Overall at Muddy Creek Mtn Dew AMA ATV MX- Round 2 - Muddy Creek - Blountville, TN - April 13, 2013

Josh Creamer - SSi Decals Pro Holeshot Award
#9 Josh Creamer placed fourth overall aboard his
Can-Am DS450 ATV at Muddy Creek
West Springfield, MA (4/16/2013) Round two of the Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship took place in Blountville, Tennessee and offered much more favorable conditions compared to the season opener. Clear skies and a challenging track greeted the racers as they took to the gate. Lazer Star Lights' Josh Creamer finished 6-3 for the day to earn fourth overall on his Can-Am DS450. In the first moto, Creamer got off the gate near the rear of the field. The track was covered in loose dirt and he didnt make it up the hill as well as he had hoped. He was jostled around in the corner and it took him a while to get his groove on the fresh track. The passing was limited, but Creamer pushed on sometimes moving up two positions in a lap. He charged from thirteenth on lap one to sixth on lap nine. He continued to push his Can-Am and turned his personal fastest lap on lap 11, an impressive 01:41.413.

#9 Josh Creamer sits fourth in the 2013 Mtn Dew AMA ATV MX Pro Points after Muddy Creek Round 2
I took me a bit to calm down in the first moto. The track was loose and guys were everywhere. It was pretty chaotic. Once I got into a groove I put my head down and charged to make some passes, regarded Creamer of the first moto. The second moto went better for Creamer. He got off the gate in good position with his BCS Performance motor and saw a hole going into the first corner. He took the opportunity and was in third as the pack charged down the hill. He pushed forward and remained in third for entire moto. The track was very physically demanding this weekend. My BCS Performance Can-Am was flawless. Jay and Jimbo put together an amazing quad; my ITP Tires hooked up perfect. I just needed more speed; Ill be working hard and looking for a win at round three, said Creamer after the race. Creamers 6-3 finishes earned him fourth overall for the weekend. He currently sits fourth in the AMA ATV Motocross Championship Pro Points Standings. He will be contesting for his first win of the season at round three on April 27th. The round takes place at Ballance MX in Oakland, Kentucky. Photo's and copy courtesy of www.atvriders.com

Kevin Trantham takes 4x4 Lites Class win in the morning race at Steele Creek in Morganton, NC

Hot Springs, NC 4/6/2013- Lazer Star Lights' Can-Am X-Team racer Kevin Trantham takes the class win at Steele Creek in Morganton, NC.

We were glad to be at our home track in North Carolina with the familiar terrain including the creek crossing and some great hills. GNCC added a new mud hole and then a culvert to pass through after crossing under the bridge. Things looked interesting, Trantham said.

I was excited to line up and put the Can-Am / BRP/ Ron Woods bike in contention. We got a decent start in 2nd going into the woods. We were able to take the lead about 4 miles in on the first lap. The bike was handling great. About halfway through the last lap we encountered electrical problems that took out the power steering along with some other steering issues. We continued to push toward the finish and were able to take another class victory. We were a little short for the podium, but, got some good points with the class win, Trantham said. We are back in the shop making repairs and getting ready for the next round. GNCC is heading to South Carolinas Big Buck on April 20th and 21st. Hope to see you there.

Trantham Racing would like to thank all our sponsors for the 2013 race season: Can-Am/BRP, Kenda Tires, Custom Axis, Ron Wood Racing, Amsoil, Moose Racing, Hiper Wheels, Fasst Co., Spider Grips, Rox SpeedFX, All Balls Racing, Evans Coolant, Ricochet, East Tennessee ATV, Derisi Racing, Twin Air, DP Brakes, SSI Decals, TireBalls, HRP Sports, Leatt, Lazer Star, Outerwears, MPR Racing, Phillips Racing, and Team UXC Racing. Second lap around Buck's machine lost its power steering, however Bryan still captured 1st overall in the 4x4 Open class, manhandling his ATV through rough Floridan sand sections. Bryan brought home 4x4 open win maintaining 2nd overall of all the sport utilities. Buckhannon wrapped up River Ranch with a 4th place overall finish of the entire morning class. The General, Washington, GA - Northward in the southern states Round 2 took place at The General in Washington, GA. Buck got another good jump off the Georgia clay, coming 2nd out of the first turn, only to lead by the end of the first lap. As luck would have it, Buck was fated for another relentless full body workout. Midway through the race his machine lost power steering again. Despite the electrical difficulties, Bryan won the 4x4 open class, placed 3rd in utility, and 6th overall of the morning riders. The first round of UTV racing kicked off at the General. In the XC1 class drivers Nick Stafford and Bryan Buckhannon managed a poor start on row 4, however steadily picked off drivers through the woods aboard their Can-Am Maverick. Pinching their Maverick through narrow tree lines, going from 4 wheels to 2 wheels, the Can-Am pilots brought home the Maverick into 7th place.
